The Return Of The Fabulous Hofner Bluenotes bestaat uit 3 CD's, 2 vinyl platen en dat alles verpakt in een prachtig boek met harde cover waar ook nog eens 80 pagina's zijn te vinden met sfeervolle foto's. De muziek op de 3 CD's verteld het (fictieve) verhaal over de instrumentale gitaar band (The Delmonts) uit de jaren '50 (een verwijzing naar bands als The Shadows ligt hier erg voor de hand!) die zich in de jaren '60 ontwikkelen tot de populaire bluesband (The Hofner Bluenotes). Met name de muziek op CD 2 en 3 vertegenwoordigen de passie die Chris heeft (terug) gevonden voor de Blues en die hij al eerder liet horen op voorgaande albums als Stony Road, The Blue Jukebox en Blue Guitars.
